Well we made it without really any problems besides looking forward to getting rid of all the luggage.  Still had to pay $380 for the luggage which was a painful pill to swallow. My laptop battery is dead and since the only outlet that I can find has a fan pugged into it.  I do not dare unplug the fan. It's taking me to last summer in Illinois except for the palm trees and a lot more garbage.  So I'm typing on my tablet which is a real pain.

My friend Shawn as right about the smells, the smell currently is burning garbage with urine undertones.  Slightly woody.  I don't think they have any real paved roads, it's a little worse than the roads back home.

The orphanage itself I'm told is quite  high standards compared to a lot of the other orphanages here.  There's groups from Canada, Ohio and Michigan right now. Some people are actually camping on the roof.  We had lasagna, bread and beets for dinner, which I was actually secretly hope it was rice and beans.  I'm sure ill get my fair share down here.

It's an unassuming place, until you get to the kids.  It's a little "in your face". My very first  encounter was a little boy, snot coming out of his nose grabbed by drink (thankfully not beer) and stuck his hand in.  They really maul you and hang all over you.  I know they are really needy and I'm not used to people coming into that "zone" of mine.

We unpacked the suitcases and we had soooooooo much stuff!  It will be put to good use and nothing will be wasted.

Anyway,  I'm up on the roof drinking a Prestige" beer.  Kinda funny prestige for a Haitian beer.

When I get my laptop up and running, I can actually type instead of this hen and peck crap.
More to come....
